Im in Southern California and there are a lot of open fields near me with tons of tall grasses and weeds. I was going to go cut some to feed them to my guy later (not worried about pesticides). I was just wondering though if most likely any tall grass or weed I find out there should be safe or if there's anything I should look out for. Something like mustard plants I was thinking to avoid, but all other grasses i saw seemed like they looked good. Thanks

all the grasses are safe and the wild mustard is safe. but some weeds are not safe. what weeds are growing in the field?
I would have to go check again and aside from dandelions I don't really know the names by heart. I was just planning on cutting off the tall grass. Are there a few common weeds to look out for?
i don't really know the bad weeds but common mallow is really good tortoise food
