The first one is hawksbit, the seventh and eighth are coreopsis = safe, the others are not familiar to this midwestern boy, so I would suggest checking with desert tort folks.

Hey Jen, That last one looks like good old dandelion, or am I way off? Yellow flower? I know those are delicious to many , human and critter alike.

Thanks, The ones I thought to be dandelions don't have the yellow flowers so could they still be dandelions?or something close to it?

Regular dandelions are wonderful!! (UNLESS they have had any weed killer on them) I grew up with a grandmother who would go and pick them right before flowering and wash and put oil and vingear on them(prior to flowering they aren't as bitter) Some stores now carry them, but they are the same ones people spend loads of money to not have in their yards. Enjoy! The other common plant around me is those orange day lilies, grab the flower right before opening, add a little butter in the pan, delicious!! (pets like em' to)

Oh, I'm not only one whose grandmother served dandelions. Also, my wife was heavy into dayliles and had a book on them which included recipes for them.
