hi everyone...can u guys help to sex my baby indian star tortoises pls? I've kept them for some time now and i m really keen on sexing them...thank u

Welcome to the forum! They look like they are pretty small, it is hard to tell sex at that size and be confident about it. Just as a guess I would say the first two female and the third one male.

First two female and cant really see much of the third one's tail but looks like male

A good way to sex them once they reach approx. 200-300 grams is to place them in a warm soak. At this size males will show their male organ once exposed to the warm bath. It may take a minute but is usually pretty quick. Not 100% but pretty accurate. Nice pics and very healthy looking torts.

Hi Gary:

Wow! Have you ever seen them in the wild? I'd give my eye teeth to be able to see the emys species in their natural habitat!

hi Yvonne,

I have never seen one in the wild, they are pretty uncommon over here. they are not even commonly kept as pets. in fact i doubt if most people know their existence :)
