Hey,
I'm thinking of getting a new leopard tortoise, but really want the bigger of the two kinds; Pardalis pardalis.
The only place I know of (within my area) is from Port Credit Pets.

Here is a video of their tortoises on display:

Do you think the leopard tortoises (at 0:30) are babcocki or pardalis ????
Please let me know! :D

I am pretty sure that those are babcocki and I think they are a bit over priced by a few hundred dollars.

Hahahaa
I agree on your opinions of the prices. When I was first looking into getting a tortoise, I originally was looking at the USA prices and thought they were manageable, so I started researching and really wanting to get one.
But when it actually came down to finding a tortoise, the average price came to about half a grand...for any tortoise species!
Which sucks...
Any willing smugglers out there? ;)

Those are Babcocki. Never heard of a Pardalis making it into Canada, but you never know...there're lots of Pardalis keepers here, but very few are active online.

IMHO it's a good thing that they are expensive up here, what with the cold winters here they are a very expensive pet to keep.
Hydro is not cheap!

I've got pardalis pardalis for sale here in the US, but I don't think I can help you up there. Anyone know how to do it legally?
