baby food soaks and other questions...

I am soaking my little boxies in a baby food soak with a bit of unflavored pedialite for hydration. It seems to be doing good. Is there other things that one could add? Whey protein? Ensure without dairy? It seems like these things would help but I just don't know.

I generally add some black worms (aquarium fish food from the pet store) to my soaking water.
