Baby Hermann Prefers to Burrow instead of Hide

Hi first time tortoise owner here my little baby of about a month prefers to burrow himself midday and at night. I’d like him to use his hide instead of burrowing him only because I’m worried when he does bury himself he might not be able to get himself back up. I included pictures here just want what’s best for the little guy

Don’t worry, he will be able to get himself out. Young ones love to bury themselves. Is that sand in the substrate?

Okay good to know haha and No it’s a mix of organic topsoil from Lowe’s and Reptibark

I have a seven month old Greek that does the exact same thing... sometimes it burrows in the hide, sometimes it’s under a plant... all you can see is the crown of the shell...
