Hi All I'm a newbie to this forum and also new to owning a tortoise. We bought our 6 m9nth old horsefield 2 days ago and he's gorgeous. He's strong and confident ,however I've read that you are supposed to feed them twice a day when they are young but my little one is greedy and seems to want to feed more often. I'm feeding a variety of greens and the odd rose petals and allowed herbs is this normal behaviour for a youngster?

Yes they should always have food available so toss a huge handful in and replace when gone!

For babies, I leave enough food to last all day long. They still come out at the end of the day and nibble on the dried up old food. It's not harmful.
