I just bought 2 baby leopards. The breeder stated they are 3 months old but they look to be about a month old or so. I raised 3 Sulcatas for a year before I lost them in an unfortunate accident. Do the Sulcatas grow faster than the Leopards do? I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect as far as growth rate. And will their shells change color or pattern as they get older?

No, J, your new leopard will grow much slower than the sulcatas did. As they grow, the space between the scutes will take on the leopard-like pattern. At first it will just look like black lines, but eventually you will notice the mottling.

Like Yvonne said, they will grow slower and you will notice some mottling as they grow. I can see some of that mottling starting on your leopard, so I would say your tortoise is about 3 months old.

Very cute. Grows much slower then sulcatas. Check out the threads below in my post. They are all great for raising a smooth leopard.
