Hey guys here is a little update of what she’s lookin like now. She is doing a million times better ! She’s eating like a pig and runnin actively around her terrarium again! Thank you all so so much for all of the advice and support. I could not have don’t it without you guys seeing that there are not any vets who specialize in sulcata tortoises in Nevada. I’m still planning on taking her in this week so I’ll keep you updated!

She is looking good. Has she gained weight ? What`s about her other eye? Is it still shut ?

Hey guys here is an update on my tortoise. SHES ALL BETTER NOW! There was a huge skin flake covering her eye and it fell off naturally today and she can see again! Here are some pics of her while she was sick and right now. She was looking so bad so don’t freak out when u see the first pic all the rest of her today.

Please tell me you didn’t get your baby from Tortoise Town? My husband ordered one as it still hasn’t shipped because they said the weather is too cold, might ship today. I’m terrified she will be sick because Tortoise Town has a bad reputation in this forum. Husband said he read reviews and they were good, but we all know some have good outcomes and I’m sure there have been disasters.

Nope, they got him from myturtlestore.com . It’s a shame you couldn’t talk him out of it but hopefully, you’ll get lucky and your tort will be fine.

I am really happy about that turnaround to good.
So many baby torts don`t and they die. It is so wonderful to see a baby tort who makes it.

I got her from my turtle store. I don’t know if tortoise town is better or worse . I feel like there is always a risk factor from ordering them from breeders that ship them out.
