Ok, baby tort has 1 eye that will not open this morning. I do have gentamycin drops. Should I use these? Anyone had this issue?

Ok, eye is open. Both are a little watery this morning but the tort is moving around and doesn't appear to be lethargic. I have also panicked and found a good herp vet in the area, even if it is a 40 min drive. So if baby isn't doing well by Monday it's going in.

As everyone has mentioned......Keep your temps up and steady during these times. Also warm soakings few times a day to make sure they stay hydrated. Tortoises do have eyelids and get the "crusty" when too dry , start of an infection and or something lodged in the eye area.

The Name ..... your hubby is right ~.....also "Azul" is Spanish for Blue...... hence your robin egg blue nails in your shared picture~;):D
