I have two baby redfoots, about 4-5mo. I believe (umbilical spot is healed, but still dark). When I went to soak and feed them today, I noticed one of them had a slightly concave plastron and it seemed a little on the soft side. He's always acted fine, moved around fine, eaten fine, so this surprised me a little. When I checked on him a couple hours later, the plastron seemed like it was back to normal. Are their shells still soft enough at that age that a good meal or a good poo could cause changes in the shape of their plastron?
