A friend of mine went home for the summer from college and was afraid her mom's dog would mess with her leopard so I took it in for her for the summer so it can be outside in the sun. He is a real cool looking little leopard, I haven't seen any with a shell this light before. Pretty cool. Anyway, here are a few pics of him enjoying the sunshine and grass.

The coloration is beautiful, however, the pyramiding is continuing. None of the new growth is flat.

I love those light-colored leopards. But, now that she's outside at your house, I wonder how soon she'll start to grow dark?

I know, this is my first experience with a leopard tortoise. Right now, it looks like I will definitely have some leopard's in the future!

Beautiful coloring. Just wish he was a little smoother. Trial and error I guess.

Yeah it is trial and error.....I did exactly what the vet said to do "hot and dry with uv lights" and as you can see thats not working so well, his shell is still pyramiding

Wait...I'm confused! Tanaberrie, are you saying that the pictured tortoise, the tortoise that Cameron is caring for for the summer, is YOUR tortoise?

Since this is your first post, I'd like to...

Welcome you to the Tortoise Forum!!

May we know your name and where you are?

Don't be so quick to judge. He is very well taken care of and is pampered. He is a healthy and active tortoise with a great personality. He was kept under the same conditions that 90% of ALL leopard tortoises in captivity are kept. Pretty sure this isn't the first pyramided leopard tortoise you have ever seen....in fact, I think I have only seen less than a handful of captive leopards that weren't pyramided.

Again, don't start judging people you don't know, it won't get you anywhere.
