My Tilly seems 2 have a abnormally long beak. Should it be filed down?? She is a 10 year old elongated tort recently rescued. Any suggestions??

Could we see a picture of it? Is it seeming to cause any problems with eating? Normally if it's not too bad, I like to try to let it wear down on it's own. That means feeding on things like a flat rock or unglazed terra cotta plant saucer. Feeding things like the hard stems on the greens or even once a month a carrot. Do watch that she doesn't crack it, it doesn't start causing her problems, or that she breaks a chunk out. If you do decide you want to trim the beak, I really suggest the first time, you have a Vet show you how it is done.
