Before and after beak trim

This little Ornate came in last week as a rescue and obviously his beak was quite overgrown and in bad shape. The point on the bottom jaw was poking his upper mouth. Must have been painful. You can tell there is more issues than just an overgrown beak but the first trim was a huge step. He is eating like a champ! He'll need more trimming/shaping in the future.

Great! Congrats. What was the tool you've used? I've seen some use a dremmel but I've only ever used fingernail clippers.

Good job. That poor turtle! Looks like the beak broke at one time as well as being overgrown.

I use a dremmel. Its easy to control and really quick.
