Bell's hingeback tortoise

Does anyone know if conservation groups have an interest in Bell's hingebacks (kinixys belliana belliana, I believe, but may be kinixys belliana nogueyi)? Thanks!

Hi Howard, I have a friend that is trying to get a breeding program together of the Bells.

Lots of us are trying to get Bells and the other hinges more stabilized and breeding. We do have a hingeback group on yahoo also. I know hingebacks are my favorite tortoise, with Bells being the top of the pack. I have a couple of them currently. Unfortunately finding them can be difficult.

What kind of conservation are you wondering about?
