Best Method of International Travel With Medium Sized Tortoise

I have a 5 year old sulcata who is a bit large for his age. He weighs around 40-50lbs at the moment. For work I may have to temporarily relocate overseas for 1-4 years and wondered if anyone knew what the best method of transport would be to take him there. I am Not looking for info on legal information about import/exporting a tortoise, I already am aware of what I need for that, I am only asking about logistics on How one would transport a 50+lbs tortoise to and from another country that cannot be driven to while ensuring his safety.

Wow if it is legal to take him then I would look into live animal transport maybe build an shipping crate with a forkliftable base. Not to tall to maintain heat with a minumum of air holes and lots of insulation. You then have to have some sort of safe heat or pay extra to have in a climate controled are of the airplane hold! Man the logistics are makeing my head hurt! I wish you the best of luck!
