I’ve been alerted to a park new me in Altadena with an abundance of grape leaves! So a foraging I will go!
Would it be wise to vinegar/baking soda soak the leaves as I do with my own produce? How does one prevent unintentional exposure to potential pesticides when foraging in public places?

If you don't know anything about the leaves and if they may have been treated with anything then yes, I would do the soak as long as that will kill or take care of any chemicals that may be on them. Be sure to rinse really good
Most likely being in a public park, they wouldn't get treated.
