What have you guys found as the best pest control? I want to be able to bring my baby out for about an hour of sun a day but I worry about bugs. I just ordered Diatomaceous Earth but is that something I can use throughout the entire outdoor enclosure? My biggest concern is just ants!

Treat the ants with Terro ant baits or Amdro Ant Granules. Don't let the tortoise gain access to the bait at any time. Treat the ants in or closest to the enclosure first, and radiate an ant free zone out. Go as far as you can.

You can make an outdoor enclosure that ants can't get into by making the enclosure rest firmly on "legs" that are set into bowls of water.

But that doesn't offer natural grazing. But good idea.
