Yes, please set him up on a closed chamber enclosure.
Do not use mercury, halogen or coil bulbs.
Use fluorescent straight tube for uvb, incandescent FLOOD bulb for basking and ceramic heat emitter for night heat and added day heat
Humidity 80% temps 80 day and night with basking area of 95-100.

That is for tortoises.
Not all snakes or lizards are housed the same and not housed the same as tortoises.
