if he is eating the grass, that is best. He wont eat hay till he is bigger.
try Spring mix salad.. its a good mix.. or Santa Barbara Mix. its in bags at your local grocery.
Make sure you dont over handle and move around too much. Let him settle and adjust.
They can stress easily.

the seed mix is organic gold wheat grass, bahia grass, timothy grass, oat grass, rye grass, rapina, dandelion, bermuda grass, chicory, durana clover plus three other clover varieties, radish greens, buckwheat, and variety of spring mix greens. is that not a good mix? :////
