Could i use some burmuda grass as substrate for my pancake tortoise.

some places sell the seed mixture, but most people do everything they can to get rid of it!
Nursery, home Depot etc

it works, the one thing you want to watch is some bermuda grows like vines, and small torts can get stuck in it.

Are you going to plant this outdoors for your tort, or indoors in a tort table? More information would be helpful as to what you plan to do for an enclosure so maybe we would have other suggestions, unless you are saying you already have this and is it ok.

its for a inside tort table right now i just have my pancake tort on newspaper and i dont think he likes it so i would like to put him on something els i saw bags of burmuda grass for sale at the store so is there something i could put in for substarte.

It seems fine. My outdoor enclosures have it growing in them. Sometimes when I mow the yard I keep the clippings as substrate for the indoor enclosures that house the young torts. Hope this helps. Maybe someone more experienced will chime in.

A mix of play sand and eco earth is what most experienced keepers use for substrate. I didn't look to see if pancakes need humidity so if they do your tort could benefit from having a damp substrate
The grass then would mold...
