Hi, I'm getting 2 Hermann tortoises in about 3 weeks, I have done plenty of research (this forum has helped a lot, thanks!), but one thing I can't seem to find anywhere is this:
I have a cactus, and would like to know if it will be ok in my tortoises' enclosure? I am unsure of the type, it was unspecified when I bought it, however I do know that its not a Prickly Pear cactus. I do have a Prickly pear cactus on the way, but I probably won't plant this in case the tortoises munch it all, but can I plant the other?
Thanks for any help,
Katie :)

Hello and welcome...They do have ones that don't have prickers on them. Those would be OK.

Hi Katie:

We'd have to see a picture of it to be sure it's ok.

I've attached a picture - ignore the flowers, I found out later that they aren't real...trust me to fall for that scam. It is quite pricky, I think I'll probably avoid it then, I'd rather not risk hurting them in any way.
Thank you for the replies.
