Just today, Calypso started clicking her top and bottom beak together. When she bites her food, she doesn't do it, but when she's chewing or "working the food with her tongue" then she clicks... she's sticking out the lower part and clicking it on the upper part.

Her beak was a bit overgrown when I got her, but it's been wearing down and isn't bad.

So I don't know why she is clicking all of a sudden.

Any ideas??!

It's perfectly normal. :) It happens with all my tortoises at some time or another.

Kelly, Maybe Calypso is clicking it just cause she can, now that her beak has worn down a bit ;)

LOL It's just a weird thing to do, if you ask me! Calypso is my laid back tortie who's just in her own world and doesn't want the rest of the world to bother her, and she never calls attention to herself. So to have her walk around clicking... just took me off gaurd!
