Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

The first two look virtually identical, though they were taken several seconds apart. You can tell he/ she decided to splitsville by #3!

I guess so long as you get to see them, it won't really matter.
They are doing fine, and I'm beginning to believe the one I named "Sweetie" is a boy! He has a thicker tail, now, than "Snappy" does. Thicker and blunter. Any ideas about that? Snappy's tail is whip-like past her cloaca, but Sweetie's Is not.
