Hi

I am very new to this world with 6 month baby hermann tortoise.

Once or twice a week, I bring my tortoise to a park near my house
where he can walk around, and most importantly gets direct sun light.

He likes to try to bite grasses which I don't know names,
and i notice he likes one type of grass in the attachment.

I only set him free where no pesticide is used, so at least it's pesticide free, but am wondering

if this is okay to let his instinct or appetite to choose then eat some unknown grasses especially the one in the picture.

Oh, It does look like common mallow! I just googled and i am glad that it is edible.

Thank you for your finding ascott.

So I bet their instinct tells what to eat.
it does look like common mallow and my tort somehow instinctively found what to eat.
- its only six months baby and I bought it from local pet shop where baby tortises are usually only kept indoor.

Thanks for your finding ascott!
