What about agar agar which is derived from seaweed?

Fine but in my area you have to find it in a natural food store and it costs more. There are trade offs. And I’m still not certain it makes more sense than freezing.

Other members make up a mix that lasts about a week in the fridge; they are listed at the beginning of the “Tortoise Chef” thread. Something else to think about?

I like your tortoise biscuit recipe. I think I've got a better chance of mine eating that then Jello. I haven't had a chance to try either yet.
