Can you ID this? edible for Tortoise

I found this near the place where I live when I travel to China for work.

They grow on the bank around a canal. Can some one ID this and is this edible for torts??

I don't know what it is but in the last pic especially, it looks to be growing like one of the wandering jew plants.

It looks a bit like a Tradescantia sp. I wouldn't feed it to your torts just in case it's a no. Sorry I can't be certain .
