Hello, I just recently ordered this book

Sulcatas: African Spurred Tortoises in Captivity by Russ Gurley

and I was wondering if anyone has read it? And if so, would you say that it gives good advice on how to care for a tortoise?

I'm a new owner so I'm looking to get the best possible information.

I have both versions of that book. Russ is a nice guy. I see him every year now at the TTPG conference. Most of the book is great, but in my opinion some of the info is outdated and wrong. We now know that babies need high humidity and hydration to stay healthy and grow smoothly. Yes they come from an area that is dry and arid for 8 months of the year, but it's wet, rainy and hot for the other 4. It is during the rainy season that the babies hatch and start their growth.

My opinions and techniques are shared in my signature below.
