So I went out on my patio tonight and there was about 20 caterpillars in the outdoor tortoise habitat eating the weeds I have planted for my Russian! Are they a danger to him? I think I'm gonna just try and pick out as many as I can and put them somewhere else. They are eating everything, whole leaves disappear in ten minutes...

They should not be any problem, besides eating all of his food.

LOL....that happened here one year about 4 years back....I mean I went to walk out onto the front porch and turned on the lights and man did I scream...not that I am a sissy girl, but for an instant reminded me of a horror flick....lol...they would go away during the day then after night fall they blanketed the front porch....

I would go with the picking them off and relocating them....maybe relocate them to a patch of undesirable weeds....yes, there are a few...lol :D
