Solid CB Burmese Black Mountain tortoises (Manouria Emys Phayrei)
Species: Burmese mountain tortoises are curious and outgoing and love those who 'feed' them
. The black mountain tortoises (M.E. phayrei) are the largest of the two subspecies and these handle cooler temps that what the M.e. emys handle. These guys can get to be over 40lbs as adults so please take that into consideration if you are new to this species. I received these as 1.1 but selling them as sex unknown since I am not 100% positive on their sex, yet.
Enclosure: Outdoor housing whenever possible is the best way to go. Large pen with lots of shade, prefer lots of plants for cover and thrive with a soaking pond/pool and higher humidity levels.
Diet: These guys are feeding on a diet of weeds, grape leaves, mulberry leaves, cactus pads, hibiscus leaves and flowers. I add fruits and Mazuri to their diet about once a week. They hunt and chow down nightcrawlers and other bugs in the pen but I don't add any additional animal protein to their diet.

The most important thing for me is that my hatchlings get a good home so if you are new to the hobby then I am happy to help you with every aspect of their care but please first understand their requirements before buying one . Guarantee: All turtles/tortoises are guaranteed to be alive and outwardly healthy upon arrival if signed for upon delivery. Yes, someone must be present to receive them. Any DOA or obvious problems must be reported within an hour of delivery and will require verification by photo or return.

Please note that if you live in a small town or remote location then even if I choose 10.30 am delivery the package might still not be delivered until later in the day.
