LOL, I tried celery once. I've never seen my tortoise spit their food back out with a disgusted look on their face. Guess they're like me, we hate the taste of celery.

I've always fed them to all of my tortoises. Never had a problem. Honestly can't remember if I ever gave them to redfoots, but probably.

Ok awesome, I was chopping up veggies for lunches and this celery bunch was particularly leafy! I figured I'd mix some in with tort lunch today :)

Like Roachman, I've always fed them to my tortoises, both the stalks and leaves. Not on a regular basis but if we happen to have some lying around that we aren't going to use. While celery probably has little to no nutrional value the stalks are hard which requires tortoises to hold, tear and bite off pieces. Good for their beaks and increased activity, both of which are always good.

I don't see a problem with them but mine won't touch them.

The stalks also are good for fiber and water content. I don't use celery, though, but instead feed them the thick stalks of turnip and collard greens for that purpose.

On the same note, are carrot greens any good?

I've always fed them, but when I buy them at the store, they get moldy and wilted really fast.
