Morgan and Merlin have outgrown their pots. I've picked up the kiddy pool (I even found it on sale), but I have a huge question before I fill it and set it up.

What'll happen when it rains a lot? Will it become a swamp because the lack of drainage, or will it dry out easily despite not having holes? Will the bark absorb enough water and just stay moist like the pictures? Should I cut holes in it? Is there some secret for storage during monsoon?

I'll need to pick up more plants and grasses since the dogs ate most of what I got in March... :( At least they left the globemallow alone!

You can either makes holes in the bottom for drainage, or buy a second pool to put over the top of the main one as a rain cover.

Thank you so much, Tom! For some stupid reason I thought if I cut holes into it the tortoises would pick at them until they eventually wiggled their way out...Now that I think about it that's what supervision is for. I'm thrilled. I can't wait to get this done.
