I was given this tortoise and I would like to know if for a fact he is a cherry head. I am not sure if his head would’ve turned yellow by now

So then at what age would I see the head begin to turn more yellow?
I doubt it's going to. The color you see is probably going to be the same. None of mine changed color as they grew older.

Since I really can’t tell the difference between my red foot and what a cherry head of it a size would look like, I can tell as adults of course but I am very confused as how to tell the difference when they are this little

The easiest way to tell is by the plastron. Cherry heads have a dark, usually marbled plastron. They also tend to have an enlarged elbow scale on the front legs. This is a pic of my Cherry head's plastron. You can see the elbow scale too.IMG_20191222_162220778.jpg
