Cherry head tortoise enclosure size

what Size enclosure would a cherry head tortoise need and a enclosure size that an adult cherry head can fit in? And if i was to diy an enclosure what is the best varnish to water proof?

For a hatchling 2x4 is fine. For an adult a yard or large room.
Most water proofing is fine to use. You just have to be very sure it is completely dry and cured and no smell left before placing tortoise inside

An adult Cherryhead can fit in a large shoe box. But for its own well being should have no less than an 8 x 8 foot space. This is what I would consider a minimal but still ethical sized space.

Has anyone ever used these? Do they work good? I was going to put 2 together and cut a whole so they can go back and forth. I am also going to cover it with plexiglass I was also considering putting clay Hydro Pebbles underneath the substrate with the piping system so I could water from the bottom and have the roots grow through what's your guys's feedback on that or should I just stick with reptibark

Too short. You need at least 18inches tall inside. 24-30 inches is better.
