It is 9 ft x 8 ft. My parents didn't think we would have to bury any lumber underground but now that it's done and they have seen her attempts, we are digging some logs on the fence side and the side adjacent the one that in the picture has a log laying against the ground. We did that with the wall that has boards laying across top. Then I put soil on it and planted seeds. Anyone have advice for the best way to dig the logs in? Any feedback in general?
I wanted to cut the extra stake material but my dad said it would be fine *shrug*.
Here are pictures with item inside (I'm adding more tomorrow):

Nice - I like the plants. Are you going to plant them or leave them potted?

The two geraniums I put in with their pots are staying like that. I plan on keeping them alive through the winter (hopefully). Same with the begonia. She's not too fond of the geranium yet, though. The two bright colored ones are coleus and they unfortunately die over the winter but look nice in there. The spider plant doubles as an inside enclosure plant so it's easier to just set it in there.

WOW!

This is very nice. Very spacious. How many torts you would have in there?

If it is too hard to dig down, you can line the inside edge with pavers (masonry caps, or those 16"x8" pavers you find at home depot). This is Yvonne's suggestion, and it works; they walk along the pavers, but can't dig directly under the wall.
Or just watch him closely, you are providing hides in the middle, so he may not choose to dig under the walls at all. My Russians seem to want to climb the walls, rather than dig under them.
Good job capping the ends to avoid climb outs! It looks really good; your tortoises will thrive.

We don't have a Home Depot close to us, so this morning I went out and laid some more boards down and covered them with soil, hopefully that's enough to prevent an underground escape.
I also replaced the underground hide with a bigger pot:

She paced the western wall three times. Is this normal for her to do until she is used to it? She did that then went inside her underground hide.

It's new. She reserves the right of all torts to be very slow to accept a new enclosure and be scared of everything and hide away for a while. The pacing is most likely trying to work out where she is.

Awesome enclosure! I'm getting ready to set up my torts enclosure as well. What plants did you put in?

These pictures are only a day or two old; I actually had to weed some of the seedlings out. I also cleared another small area of grass so it doesn't seem so cluttered. It looks busy though, and she likes it!
