Coccidia in 5 yo Russian Tortoise

Does anyone know specifics about whether my WC Russian tort could have been infected with coccidia when she was imported to the USA a year ago? She's been healthy, eating like a pig (thus, Miss Piggy) and active up until the beginning of May. Has a large load per vet and has started treatment with Albon. Do Coccidia lay dormant until conditions are right, then start their life cycle in the host animal. Once treated and cured, can the host animal gain immunity?

Not exactly sure, perhaps Uzbekistan? Purchased as regimes but she was a little over 4" long May 2021. Now 5" 2 lbs

My msg might not have come thru.....I said....got her as a rehome a year ago May and I assume from her size 5", she most likely is WC. Maybe from Uzbekistan?
