I like the way coconut coir looks & was wondering if it would be a good idea to add coconut coir to my cypress mulch?

I use that combination and I like it. On one half I put 2" of coco coir and 3-4 inches of cypress mulch on top and the other half is 6" coco. I like how well the coco holds the moisture even when the mulch dries up a bit. It looks good too.
