Is coconut hair a good substrate for my pancake, his food bowl will be on slate stones.

Because I have a good bit of it to put in his table I just made when the sealant cures.

I use coconut coir. It's texture is like sawdust. The only thing I would worry about with coconut hair is if they try to eat it and it getting stuck part way down their throat. If you keep an eye out for eating on it, it should be fine.

He is already on peat moss on his old tank, should I mix them together? And you really believe he would eat the coconut?

His food and water bowl will sit on slate stone that should keep the substrate from getting in to a minimal.
