If someone relies on bulbs for UVB, I think it is non-negotiable. There's no good reason not to have one. If you don't rely on bulbs, i think they can still be useful, and educational, but less mandatory.
I'll have to do more research to see how much I'll need to rely on it then. I should be able to get the little guy outside every day, but I dunno how much would be enough.
