Corospora fungus on my mulberry tree

Hi. Was happy when I found out my Russian tortoise, Caspian, loves mulberry leaves because I have a mulberry tree on my property. For years now it gets spots late summer. This year earlier. We've had a lot of rain and apparently this is why. I pick the new leaves without spots and he devours these. Should i be concerned about feeding these?

same thing is happening to my mulberries....I notice that the spots do not appear on the smaller new growth leaves and have been only using those for past 2 weeks. will be following this post and hoping that someone in the know replies.

If this is what you are talking about Picture 1766.jpg I feed these and have for years, They only limbs that do this are ones that I didn't cut back during winter. To be honest I never thought about what caused it, just figured it was a normal thing that occurred.

Cercospora sp. I think.
There are many species that attack many plants, but i don't think any of them are harmful to animals, just unsightly and possibly not very tasty.
