These guys are a blast! All Cuora are, actually, but these guys have tons of personality. Especially the females. They're more aquatic than many other members of the genus, but not as much as aurocapitata.
The first 2 weeks s/he was completely aquatic, then went into a burrowed phase (so I shrank the water feature), then 1/2-1/2....very changeable - lol - like s/he's trying Everything on to see how the world fits!
A very easy acclimation and eats like a trooper. Rarely misses a day's meal. Eats all sorts.
Very different experience compared to my G. spengleri yearling who has finally (after months) gotten into good eating/soaking/handling habits.
