Does any one else’s tortoise do this? Not sure if it’s because he might get food, even though I spray a lot more than just when I feed. It also might be just a normal instinct, because they do that in the wild, right?
Maybe he just likes getting his shell sprayed?
He’s a Sulcata, by the way.

Whenever I spray Murphy's outdoor pen with the hose he immediately comes out and starts exploring. I think it's a normal instinct. I know box turtles come out after a rain.

My Russian does. He also always comes out of his burrow in his outside enclosure if it starts raining. I guess he just likes being wet.
