Ok, so for the couple weeks I've had my Sully I've given him a calcium supplement every other day. I was then reading on here about cuttlebones. He ate about 4 bites the first day, then a couple bites each day since. Should I continue the supplement when he has access to the cuttlebone? He's pretty much eating grasses, dandelions, and clover. I've given him a handful of the Zoo-Med grassland tortoise food just to see if he'd eat it. He didn't seem to be getting a good diet before I got him. Thoughts?

My tort seems to demolish her cuttlebone at random intervals, so I still supplement with calcipowder occasionally. Sometimes 3x a week, sometimes once. Basically just when I remember to.

First- make sure there is plenty of dietary calcium,

Then- offer a little supplement as needed to insure the above,

Then, let them chew on all the cuttlebones you are willing to toss in there.
