My guy has lived outdoors in the 4' x 15' box for 7+ years. Though we've let him out with supervision, we expanded his world some weeks ago, finally!
We put him back in the box (it goes off to the left of photo. it's covered, and has a couple lean-tos in the middle and end section)
Hibiscus, crossandas, Mexican petunia, fern planted (researched edibles for him)

Because what he eats doesn't attract critters like fruit and meat would, he's unbothered by 'visitors'.

Is that hay on the ground? It is probably going to get moldy pretty quick here. You might be better off with mulch or pine straw if you like the hay look.

I'll keep an eye peeled, but every year he beds down over the winter in a big stack of hay.
