Desert Box turtle that wants to come inside

I am in El Paso Texas and our turtle lately wants to come inside. We put her out and if the door is open, in she comes. Any idea why she is doing this? I am afraid she won't bury herself in back yard. She is not eating what I give her which is a sign of upcoming hibernation.

Western desert box turtle. Very common in El Paso desert

She's probably looking for a safe place to hibernate. Just keep the door closed so she can't come in.
