Mine was born and raised in FW, so I keep him in such. If I had a wild caught, I would for sure use BW.

I agree with kyryah. My 3 were born and raised in fresh water and continue to do well. I've never had any health or skin/shell problems. In fact they may be a little too active and healthy lol.
