Last August Lola had this shiny area on her shell. You might remember as I posted this photo.

No one knew what it was except she might have come in contact with "something." That area eventually disappeared. Lola was still hibernating in her box in the garage so when I checked on her; this is how I found her. I keep The box covered so there is no way anything dripped on her. Please help, again!

Please......anyone chime in.
Thank you

That is so strange. She seems healthy otherwise? That's good then. I wonder if her blood flow to those areas are higher?

I definitely remember your post the first time around. To see the original area completely normal- followed by new "shiny" spots.....it's very interesting.

What does this area feel like? To the touch?
I'm just grasping at straws, I have no clue what this could be.

UPDATE: We cleaned Lola's shell with water and sponge. We will keep an eye on her. Still a mystery.ImageUploadedByTortForum1397959265.336761.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1397959294.986190.jpg
Thank you all

I would be concerned ... I have seen something similar to this with a tortoise who had septicemia. Is she eating and drinking normally? Is she active and alert? Is she just getting up from hibernation?

Hi Kimber; I was just reading one of your other posts when your message popped in. Funny. Lola just woke up from hibernating so she isn't too energetic yet. She spent the day in the yard. I was not able to observe her movements today. If I see the spots return and/or notice she is not physically ok, I will consider a Vet visit. I checked out the Vet list posted on TF site. Thanks for your response.
