Image below shows one of my tortoise growth. (Highlighted) the growth is overlapping and I’m worried about MBD

Thank you

Ben

please include pictures of your enclosure. It is amazing what a few low dollars tweaks can do to improve your torties health. Good Luck

Should I be concerned about a bit of pyramiding??
Put a top on the enclosure and keep up the humidity. If you can replace the mvb uvb light with a tube florescent and you will have a better chance of stopping the pyramiding and in a few years it will hardly be noticeable.
Open tops low humidity and the mercury vapor bulbs cause pyramiding.
Even if you have a closed chamber high humidity the mvb bulb will still cause pyramiding in most cases if not all cases.
