They'll eat it and they will eventually become ill

Mine loves apple slices.

DanL, I'd make that only rarely, as the sugars in the fruit can disrupt their gut-biomes.

I occasionally feed mine some butternut squash or pumpkin, but mostly stick with greens and flowers and cactus pads for the majority of their diet.
