A piece of the shell of our tortoise was chipped off after dropping him on the floor. We marked it with the green circle in the attached picture. Normally the shell has a black spot there, but it was chipped off, and the shell was partially breached. We used a band-aid to close it off, and after ~10 d, the wound seemed to have healed. He still moves around like usual, and even tries to crawl on top of the bigger tortoise.
Should we be worried, and take him to the vet anyway?
Or it's fine to leave him be? Are there any symptoms we should be looking out for?

Appreciate all the advice,

Is it a surface chip, or is it also a crack?
If it's a surface chip, I believe there is not a lot to worry about, if it's a chip and a crack then it needs to be kept clean, sanitized and some Neosporin w/o pain killer dabbed on the spot.
